BARQ is designed to be recognised by its construction rather than its branding. That decision drives everything below.
Most products carry a small tonal chest mark and nothing else. Empty space on a garment is not a missed opportunity — it is what lets the piece work in a setting that has nothing to do with training.
When a product does carry a graphic, it goes on the back. The wearer commits to it without performing it, and it does not have to survive being read across a table.
The collar, the shoulder seam, the drape and the weight are the design. If those are right, a logo is a signature rather than a load-bearing element.
A woven interior label, reinforcement where the garment is actually pulled, a collection code on the neck label. Things the wearer finds later, not things that sell the shirt in a photograph.
BARQ is a Middle Eastern brand and the Arabic is real Arabic, set in a face chosen for it and checked for spelling and rendering. Arabic script is not used as ornament.
No claims about performance, indestructibility or sweat-proofing. The specification is published; it makes the argument better than adjectives would.
The system
Six design families. Each one describes how a garment is decorated and what it is for. A family is a design system, not a release schedule.
In production — launch drop
The flagship essential. A single tonal chest mark, a clean back, and the whole argument resting on the blank itself.
The identity piece. Arabic typography worked into the upper back, front left bare. Language as texture rather than slogan.
The philosophy piece. Built Through Discipline set across the back, where the wearer commits to it without performing it.
Specified — not yet in production
The quiet piece. Tonal embroidery matched to the body colour, no external branding, nothing to read. Construction carries it.
Not in productionDrawn from the pattern itself. Seam lines, half-chest measurements and grade increments set as a technical drawing.
Not in productionThe collector piece. High-density upper-back embroidery, an individually numbered interior label, a single production run.
Not in productionThese are drawn and specified but held back. Launching all six at once would spread a self-funded first drop across stock we could not support.
Colour
Black and Stone carry the launch. Graphite is the third — a tonal neutral that sells to everyone and photographs cleanly against concrete, rather than a taste colour that leaves broken size runs behind.
Olive is designed and confirmed for a later drop. White is not part of the plan: at 265 GSM in a warm climate it is the one colour where the fabric's advantages stop being an advantage.
